Against The Grain Productions awards this $1,500 scholarship, applied toward tuition and fees, to a student who has shown visionary leadership that creates change in the Asian American community. Applications are due May 31 each year, and winners are announced in late September.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be at least 25 percent Asian or Pacific Islander ethnicity and a U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident. The award is open to high school seniors and full-time students at accredited U.S. vocational schools, junior colleges, or four-year institutions pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree in any major. A minimum 3.5 unweighted cumulative GPA is required, and candidates must submit a video presentation showcasing their work along with recommendation letters.
