National Association of Black Journalists/CNN Scholarship is a $25,000 scholarship open to students nationwide. Full eligibility requirements are listed below.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicant must be a high school senior who has been accepted at an accredited college/university pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and proven community involvement. Two letters of recommendation and a 1,000 word essay are required to be submitted on the following questions: Why do you want to be a journalist? What do you feel is the biggest obstacle facing African-Americans? Why do you feel you are deserving of the CNN Scholarship?
