The Excelsior Scholarship allows eligible New York residents to attend SUNY and CUNY colleges tuition-free. Combined with other aid, the award covers the full cost of tuition for qualifying families.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be New York State residents whose federal adjusted gross income falls at or below the program cap, enroll full-time at a SUNY or CUNY institution, complete 30 credits per year, and commit to living and working in New York after graduation for the length of time they received the award.
