The Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service program pays full tuition and fees, an annual stipend, and summer internships. Recipients commit to post-graduation civilian employment with the Department of Defense.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens (or citizens of certain allied nations), be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a covered STEM discipline such as engineering or computer science, and be willing to accept employment with a DoD facility after graduation. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
