Smith Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be seniors at an Alabama high school and plan to attend an Alabama four-year college the following fall. Students must also write two essays about their future plans and their community service or family assistance endeavors and provide three letters of recommendation. A minimum C+ GPA is required.

Apply directly through the sponsoring organization's official application — an essay is part of the application. Review the eligibility requirements above first, and give yourself time before the December 1, 2026 deadline.
