Voice of Democracy is an audio-essay competition sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Students record a three-to-five-minute essay on an annual patriotic theme, competing for state and national awards including a $35,000 top scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements
The competition is open to students in grades 9 through 12 enrolled in public, private, parochial, or home school programs in the United States. Entries are submitted through a local VFW Post by the annual deadline.
